We need to be more careful, but more compassionate. We must strike, not deal with terrorists, but to broaden our understanding of the world outside our borders. ↗
More needs to be done to take the fight to the enemy and secure our borders against the terrorist threat. We need more protection on land, sea and air. ↗
Clearly, border security has been the top domestic issue of the year, and rightly so. Securing our borders is an essential aspect of our national security. ↗
Border security is a complex issue and will remain a top priority during the 2007 legislative year. As Congress works to fix this problem, I will continue to push for strong measures that beef up security at our borders. ↗
We should like to have some towering geniuses, to reveal us to ourselves in colour and fire, but of course they would have to fit into the pattern of our society and be able to take orders from sound administrative types. ↗
