Fresco and his work has been the subject of radio and television programs as well as newspaper and magazine articles in which he has been described as a "dreamer" "eccentric" "utopian" an "idealist" a "crackpot" a "charlatan" yet concurrently a genius a prophet and a visionary. As an outspoken social critic Fresco advocates global implementation of a socioeconomic system of social cooperation technological automation and scientific methodology which he refers to as a 'resource-based economy.
