I really, really love music. I'm affected by it and uplifted by it, and made to laugh and cry, and almost fall in love with the person who has made me feel so brilliant and communicated so profoundly to me.

The verses (which were slightly altered) and the overall sound of the song are from "Bitter Pill" but added in was the chorus of Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff". With the help of Sex Pistol Paul Cook the trio recorded their first demo. The song was renamed "Hot Stuff (I Want You Back)" and a remix was included as a b-side to their hit single "Beep".
