Fustigations and other cruelties
It is not unusual to see in Busch's works someone thrashing tormenting harming and beating. He opined that his Jewish figures are merely stereotypic belonging to other stereotypes as the "limited Bavarian farmer" and the "Prussian tourist". From mid-1870s on Busch's drawings were printed with zincography which permitted engravers to change the nature of his art.
Busch described contemporary city life and satirizes Catholicism philistine morality and bigotry. Busch remains one of the most influential poets and artists in Western Europe.
