Kathleen Winsor (October 16 1919 - May 26 2003) was an American author best known for the romance novel Forever Amber. In 1937 Kathleen Winsor began writing a thrice-weekly sports column for the Oakland Tribune. Winsor graduated in 1938 from the University of California Berkeley.
