I came up from growing up with a lot of Catholic guilt, a lot of punk rock, hipster guilt in the later years where I think people have thrown a lot of things on me. Where I always felt like I'm not supposed to tell the horn section what to play or I don't want to come off egotistical.

In 2001 the band released White Blood Cells. The slogan of his business was "Your Furniture's Not Dead" and the color scheme was yellow and black—including a yellow van a yellow-and-black uniform and a yellow clipboard.

He was best known as the vocalist guitarist and pianist of The White Stripes until they split in February 2011 as well as a vocalist and guitarist for The Raconteurs and the drummer of The Dead Weather. He is ranked No. White released his debut solo album Blunderbuss on April 24 2012.
