I'm mourning with the rest of the world for the talented, gorgeous, funny, intelligent John Forsythe but my heart is broken for the loss of my dear, dear friend and neighbor. I will miss him terribly.

Ladd was born Cheryl Jean Stoppelmoor in Huron South Dakota to parents of German descent[citation needed] the second daughter of Dolores (née Katz) a waitress and Marion Stoppelmoor (1929–2001) a railroad engineer.
