After the final race of the season series champion Dale Earnhardt and race winner Wallace drove a side-by-side Polish victory lap carrying flags for Kulwicki and Allison. Kulwicki's Busch Series successes caught car owner Bill Terry's eye and he offered Kulwicki a chance to race for him in a few Winston Cup events. The USAR Hooters Pro Cup championship the "Four Champions Challenge" is named in memory of the four victims of Kulwicki's plane crash.
