Calamity Jane appeared as a side-main character in the 1996 videogame Wild ARMs. Then we had many dangers to encounter in the way of streams swelling on account of heavy rains. Unlike Annie Oakley her performances did not involve sharpshooting or roping or riding merely Jane appearing on stage in buckskins and reciting her adventures—"which metastisized with each telling"—in colorful but clean language; however after about six months her increasing drinking and profanity ended her career as a stage performer.
