A critique of Yale University the work argued that the school had strayed from its original educational mission. Buckley Jr. After 1957 he attempted to read her out of the conservative movement by publishing Whittaker Chambers's highly negative review of Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

He also wrote a nationally syndicated newspaper column and wrote numerous spy novels. presidential candidate Barry Goldwater and President Ronald Reagan. (November 24 1925 – February 27 2008) was a conservative American author and commentator.
