Chet Baker

In 1989 he was elected to Down Beat Jazz Hall of Fame by that magazine's Critics Poll. In 1956 Pacific Jazz released Chet Baker Sings a record that increased his profile but alienated traditional jazz fans; he would continue to sing throughout his career.
