My shift at Giant Eagle yesterday was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and when I got there, AJ, the front end coordinator, told me that William was going to be outside until 7 pushing carts and then I would be out there from 7 to 9 to do carts. Later, AJ came up to me to remind me of the carts and I told him my break was at 7 but he told me to take it at 6:45 that way I could do the carts while William comes in to bag groceries. Well, I take my break and when it's done, go outside and start taking the carts from the parking lot and putting them in the main lobby. We didn't really have that many customers so there was no need for me to use the cart caddy and I would be able to handle the lot all by myself. Close to 8, I see William out there with an orange reflective vest. He takes one look at me and gets pissed because I "made him go out there". I told him I didn't and he said that he was asked to go out there and help me with carts and was mad because I wasn't using the cart caddy. I told William I didn't need it and was quite capable of handling the lot by myself. Before William even showed up to "help" I already had the lobby filled with carts so he didn't need to be out there at all. I didn't ask him to go out into the parking lot and help me. I didn't even need or want his help. William was only out there for fifteen minutes anyway. Not too long ago, I sent an anonymous message to Giant Eagle about Williams bad attitude and hope that he gets reprimanded for it and if he keeps it up, I'll keep sending anonymous complaints about William until he is fired.
